As a private individual
I've known since I was a teenager watching detective shows that I wanted to be a psychologist because I was always most interested in the 'mind-reader's' opinion during the investigation. However, as I mastered the profession over the years, I realized how important self-examination is alongside (or instead of!) analyzing others, uncovering the origins of our own emotions and thoughts. I was also prone to overthinking, worrying too much, wanting to perform too well, pleasing those around me, and giving importance to the opinions of people whose viewpoints didn't actually matter to me. I believe these are problems that affect a significant part of our society, and it's really important to address them.
As a private person, I love to be on the move, and if I could, I would spend every day being active. For more than a year and a half, I have been regularly working out, and although I initially started to change my shape, exercise has grown into a hobby and passion of mine. On the bumpy road of weight loss, I learned how important body image, self-confidence, and movement are in maintaining and sustaining mental health. At the same time, how easily we can become victims of negative self-talk through comparison with others, which can even be exacerbated by various social media platforms.

As a therapist
It might be one of the biggest clichés, yet there is some truth in the saying that "everything is decided in the mind." I've experienced both the positive and negative aspects of this during my studies, when I gained practical experience in psychiatric wards, hospitals, and psychiatric care centers.
During my bachelor's and master's years, the areas I researched included various eating disorders (mainly starting in adolescence, such as anorexia and orthorexia nervosa), different behavioral addictions (social media, internet, and exercise addiction), and the relationship with negative body image.
Currently, however, I work with healthy adults who want to be less influenced by their emotions, wish to reduce the harmful effects of recurrent and resurfacing negative thoughts, or simply feel the need to understand themselves better. I believe that often even psychoeducation can lift a great burden off the client's shoulders, and beyond that, we can work together to handle stressful, unexpected life situations or provide support and offer tools to empower you to manage challenges on your own later on.
