As a private individual
From a young age, I was enchanted by the world of psychology, human behavior, how our brain works, and how differently or similarly we respond to the world around us. My interest in human stories had another creative outlet, which was my passion for reading, writing, watching films, and filmmaking. I feel lucky that now both areas are part of my everyday life and work, needless to say, the path leading here was filled with adventures and challenges alike.
During a significant part of my life, I successfully navigated the obstacles on the path to the goals outlined by society, even though my environment expected a lot from me and I expected even more from myself.
My strict, self-tormenting attitude towards mistakes, failures, loss of control, or perceived weaknesses didn't pay off when I spread my wings and embarked on conquering the world, and began the big letter 'life.'
When the struggle with an autoimmune disease joined in, I could personally experience what it's like to battle depression and anxiety, and how an effective therapeutic process looks from the other chair.

During this period, my personal and professional goals transformed a lot, just like the imagined form, length, and nature of the path leading to them. As it usually happens, this difficult phase also led to many valuable realizations. For instance, how effortlessly our problem-solving brain drives us into labyrinths that seem to have no way out if we let it. How unnoticeably we identify with our negative thoughts and feelings, which then create a veil between us and the present moment, the valuable life. Meanwhile, the ability and the key to change are always lurking within us.
I wish to support everyone who seeks to grow in experiencing and unfolding this.
As a therapist
Let's start with some good news (which I can back up with both professional and personal experience): You can have a positive impact on your mental well-being. And you don't have to travel this path alone.
I completed my psychology studies at ELTE, and then specialized in Clinical Psychology at Leiden University, focusing on CBT methodology. Over the years, I've gained experience in individual counseling, corporate team building, criminal psychology, and work psychology.
I find it important to continuously expand my knowledge and skills by participating in trainings, conferences, peer reviews, and supervision, and by consuming professional content. My colleagues consider me an intelligent, reflective, creative, and attentive person.

In my work, I primarily deal with healthy adults seeking support in coping with difficult life situations, wanting to reduce the influence of negative thoughts and feelings on their lives, develop their self-awareness, communication skills, and psychological flexibility. But what does this actually mean? The essence of psychological flexibility is to act effectively in difficult life situations, even as circumstances change.
It means accepting the negative feelings and thoughts that arise, being able to focus on the present, and consciously acting according to our values. Among other things, it helps us to be guided not by the avoidance of short-term discomfort, but by long-term goals and values.
Based on individual needs, I rely on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based methods. I like to use relaxation techniques, creative and imaginative tools in our collaborative work. You can expect practical exercises and tasks that we try out together, and the ones that prove useful can be applied in everyday life. (Individual practice will also be an important element of our work together. 😊)
