As a private individual

I have always been deeply interested in people and the dynamics between them. For me, it provides a kind of anchor in the world: if I understand why things happen, nothing can surprise me. I like to interpret the world through cause-and-effect relationships, and my curiosity drives me to delve into this process: because people can never be completely "untangled," this presents a constant intellectual challenge for me. I invest a lot of energy to understand those who turn to me as much as possible.

I consider self-awareness as one of our strongest tools: it helps map our blind spots, weaknesses, and strengths too.

If we understand and accept ourselves better, we are less likely to encounter unexpected surprises, we can mobilize the resources within us better, and we can respond to the situations affecting us more flexibly and consciously.

Self-reflection has played a key role in my life as well: for years, I was on another path, but at one point, I had to honestly face the fact that this was not the road where I truly felt at home. This process brought a lot of thinking, doubt, and recognition, and eventually led me to psychology. It wasn't a quick decision, but all the more important and liberating: this is how I found what I can truly thrive in.

Reliving difficult emotions and expressing them without negative consequences in the supportive presence of your psychologist can be a reconstructive experience: it gives the opportunity to process your previous experiences in a different quality and to form new thoughts and feelings about them.

In my own therapeutic process, the biggest realization was that I have the right to set boundaries and say no without major consequences. It helps a lot if we are in touch with our own needs and requirements, and take care of meeting them as best as we can.

For me, it was very liberating to realize that everyone is only responsible for themselves and their own little “bubble.”

As a therapist

My professional experience primarily comes from working with disadvantaged individuals, as well as clients living with addiction and substance use, representing the approach of harm reduction. Currently, alongside my private practice, I work as a school psychologist, which gives me the opportunity to see the development processes over the long term and understand,

how childhood experiences lay the foundation for later functioning styles.

In addition, I volunteer with the From Street to Home Association, and I collaborate on a project basis with the Budapest District VII Municipality to develop and implement the local drug strategy, with particular attention to preventing youth addiction and harm reduction.

In my work, I have been most influenced by the psychodynamic approach: this approach with Freudian roots posits that

our current functioning is often shaped by unconscious processes, early experiences, and internal conflicts - along with the associated feelings.

The person-centered approach that is also close to me emphasizes empathy, and an accepting, safe relationship, where the client can develop at their own pace. The systemic approach helps me understand individual difficulties not in isolation, but in the context of the wider environment, such as the family, school, or social relationship system connections.
