As a private individual
Missing out on opportunities has puzzled me for a while. One of my biggest fears is that my perfectionist attitude stops me from trying new things.
It's very important to see an initial weaker performance as part of a growth curve and not just think "it's not good enough."
Thankfully, I've made a lot of progress in this area recently, and I'm learning that we can mostly learn from the past. The "what if" questions don't make life any easier. Being present and looking to the future is much more important than worrying about past decisions. The more we apply this mindset in our daily lives, the more easily we can achieve an anxiety-free existence.
One of the biggest challenges in my life is to be a more balanced and focused individual tomorrow than I was yesterday. In my opinion, the best method to learn focus is through sports. My interest in sports showed itself at a very young age. Several family members claim that even when I could barely walk, I was already trying to kick or dribble a ball confidently. My all-time greatest love is football, but I used to compete in gymnastics. I also swam for a longer time and played tennis briefly. Music is also an integral part of my life; I feel more energetic when I listen to my current favorites daily. I am also happy to take part in organizing, whether it's a concert or a festival. Many similarities can be found between professional athletes and musicians, and I enjoy working with people in both fields.

As a therapist
As a child growing up in a blended family, I turned inward quite quickly to examine certain traits of my behavior and tried to interpret them.
Already quite early, at the beginning of my adolescence, I got acquainted with psychology and its importance. From this period onwards, setting goals, sports, (language) learning, music, and friends provided a lot of help in discovering myself.
Later, during my university studies and work experiences, I gained even more knowledge. I worked as a consultant in HR, a trainer, a psychologist, and a rehabilitation mentor with those of changed work capacity, as well as in roles related to psychological testing. Whatever my role was, I always kept in mind that change doesn't happen overnight. It's a long process, which I always support with appropriate understanding and acceptance.
I only provide help in areas where I have also had my own experiences.
I consider it extremely important that, in addition to developing coping strategies, we also talk about how to keep them sustainable. I offer help so that you can find solutions to your problems by drawing from within yourselves, using your own tools.
My dream is that people turn to psychology in a preventive way, not only when problems have already arisen.
That's why I am particularly engaged with developing mindfulness, finding present focus, and the topics of mindfulness and positive psychology.
