Professional support in the background – because quality psychological work is born from teamwork
Just as our clients are not left alone with their difficulties, our psychologists do not work in isolation either. At Tabuk Villája, we place great emphasis on ensuring that our colleagues receive professional support and continuous development opportunities – because we believe this is one of the most important foundations for safe and effective psychological work.
What is supervision?
Supervision is a kind of professional compass—a safe space to review challenging cases with the help of a more experienced professional, see things more clearly, learn, and develop professionally. As a supervisor, Dr. Sándor Lisznyai, a clinical psychologist, is responsible for the development of our colleagues.
The goal of supervision is not only to provide support to our psychologists in difficult cases but also to deepen their professional identity and help them become credible, reflective professionals.
What is intervision?
Intervision is the collaborative thinking of psychology colleagues. Here, it's not an external supervisor, but the team members, who are equal partners, work together on each case or question, sharing their experiences and insights with one another. The goal is shared learning, reflection, and for everyone to grow from each other's knowledge.
Our intervisions are coordinated by Nagy Petra, the professional leader of Tabuk Villája, who is responsible not only for the professional quality but also for the community's functionality.
Thematic workshops – new perspectives, fresh approach
Psychology is a constantly evolving field, so we regularly hold thematic workshops where we delve deeper into specific methodological approaches with fresh scientific backing. Examples of our topics include: new directions in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); somatic approaches and methods - cognitive neuroscience background, therapeutic possibilities; etc.)
The topics of the workshops can be not only the presentation of a methodology or toolset, but often also include professional questions that are important in everyday psychological work. These can be more challenging subjects – such as dealing with self-harming behavior – or practical discussions involving ethical dilemmas, such as the conscious use of communication tools in sensitive situations.
These occasions provide the opportunity to get inspired, learn, ask questions – and always reconnect with why we chose this profession.
Without borders, but not without limits. Our belief is that a client can truly receive quality help when the psychologist they work with operates within a safe framework and a professional environment. Behind every session, there is a supportive community, a team eager to learn, and a responsible, thoughtful professional system. Because providing mental help is not a solitary endeavor.
