As a private individual

Since I was little, what happens to the people around me has strongly affected me. I often noticed moods, tension, and the things left unsaid. I am lucky, because I came early to see how supportive true, calm attention can be. During my school years, my classmates often came to me when something was hard for them, or they just wanted to talk. I listened to them and helped as best I could. I have always been very interested in why we humans work the way we do, and what can be behind a spoken word. I think this is when the curiosity started in me that later became the basis of my career in psychology.

At the same time, my school years also brought the feeling of being on the outside. For a long time, I felt like an "invisible observer". I watched, I was present, but I often felt alone. Over time, I drifted away from myself and my true needs.

My interest in psychology and my professional path helped a lot in reconnecting with my inner world and learning to pay attention to myself again. It was a slow and often difficult process, during which I gradually experienced what it feels like to allow myself not only to pay attention to others but also to how I am, what I feel, and simply what is good for me.

In everyday life, relaxation for me mostly means nature and the joy of creating. In nature, I always find something new and wonderful, something new to discover. It is incredible that life and growth can still make a way for themselves, even in the harshest conditions, and create something beautiful.

For me, creating is a kind of rest that can make feelings and thoughts tangible, even those that are sometimes hard to put into words.

For me, this always helps me reframe my own feelings a little, face them, and understand them. I have been painting since I was young, mainly with acrylic or oil paints. I let my thoughts and feelings fly freely, and I let the brush lead the way. I create mostly intuitively; usually I do not sit down to paint with a precise plan, but rather with a mood, an inner image, or a feeling that is hard to put into words. Often, I do not know until the very end of the process exactly what will be born on the canvas, and perhaps that is what I like most about it. While creating, something from what is happening inside gradually becomes visible.

As a therapist

I completed my bachelor’s and master’s studies in psychology at Eötvös Loránd University. Although research has always interested me too, I have been drawn to practical work from the very beginning.  As a psychologist, it is important to me that you can experience what it feels like when someone truly pays attention to you. In my experience, it can already bring relief to say what is inside you in a safe space, with an open and accepting professional by your side.

During my work, I experience every day how much uncertainty and how many questions young people face. Working with them always reminds me that behind every behavior there is an inner world waiting to be understood. In our work together I make space for us to explore these experiences and feelings and make them understandable.

If, as a parent, you notice that your child has withdrawn or conflicts between you have become constant, I can help uncover the reasons behind the tension.

I work in individual consultations, but my approach is systemic, which helps me see the family and relationship dynamics. Many difficulties can only truly be understood by taking the relationship and family context into account.  That is why you are welcome even if you feel lost in your relationship, alone, or simply can no longer see past your conflicts.

Before working as a psychologist, I spent several years in HR in a multinational environment, so I had the chance to experience workplace dynamics and difficulties firsthand. Reach out to me with confidence if you are weighed down by constant performance pressure, if you find workplace conflicts hard to manage, or if you are on the brink of burnout because of the constant rush or job searching.

I am also currently learning autogenic training, a method that can help connect body and mind to achieve inner balance and reduce tension. I can support you in getting to know how you work better and feeling safer in your body in everyday life.

It is important to me to keep learning, because I believe every person is different, and the work we do together is unique in every case.

I would like to support you in getting closer to yourself, feeling better in your own life, and discovering the resources within you.  I believe everyone has the potential for change. People can change and make changes, although sometimes it seems like an endless bumpy road with impossible obstacles. Asking for help takes courage, and my goal is to accompany you on this journey.

I feel that choosing Kata as my counselor was a great decision. She was very empathetic and warm right from the start, and it felt so good to be able to share my worries and troubles with her during our very first session. I left the session feeling a bit lighter, and it was a truly wonderful feeling.
